to be dooced 因为写博客而被开除
1. To be fired because of comments made about the company by an employee on a personal blog. Heather Armstrong coined the phrase in 2002 after losing her job because of blog entries about work. Coworkers called her "Dooce" because she made so many misspellings typing "doode" as a joke to emphasize the "oo" in dude.
2. Neologism. To get dooced is to lose one's job because of one's website. The term was coined by blogger Heather B. Armstrong, after she was fired for writing stories about her colleagues on her blog Dooce.com. Her advice to bloggers is never to write about their work on the Internet unless their boss knows and sanctions the fact that they are doing so.
