They want to draw attention to what they see as Chinese suppression of Tibetan identity. They plan they say try to cross border into Tibet from India but they are not saying when and where their attempt will take place. Tibetan exile group determine to use the attention focused on China in the run up to the Olympics to publicize their course. Some of them are notably more radical than their spiritual leader Dali Lama. He says he no longer advocates independence for Tibet and he doesn’t support the boycott of the Olympics.
