Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Lin was an attorney with the international law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, where he focused his practice on all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation. Mr. Lin has served as Special Counsel to the Pension Portability Task Force for U.S. Congressman Earl Pomeroy (D-ND), and has testified before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee on pension law reform issues.He is also an Adjunct Professor of Employee Benefits Law at Temple University School of Law and guest lecturer at China’s TsinghuaUniversity and WuhanUniversity.Mr. Lin has also been retained by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China as its pension expert and participated in drafting China’s first private pension law and regulations. Mr. Lin is a prolific author and frequent speaker on employee benefits related subjects, having published articles in such journals as Investment Advisor, Tax Strategies, Journal of Taxation, Journal of Taxation of Employee Benefits, Journal of Tax Exempt Organizations, Pension and Benefits Weekly, and ABA Trust and Investment Magazine. His Chinese-language book U.S. Private Pension System was published by Peking University Press in 2002.Mr. Lin has also spoken at U.S. industry conferences and symposiums such as Securities Industry Association Retirement Plan Conference, Success Forum of International Association of Financial Planners, Investment Company Institute Annual Retirement Plan Conference, American Bankers Association Annual Retirement Conference and International Foundation of Employee Benefits Regional Conference. Active in professional organizations, Mr. Lin is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Philadelphia bar associations. After attending International Politics Institute,
where he received his bachelor’s degree in English with
distinction in 1982, Mr. Lin received his master’s and juris
doctor degrees from TempleUniversity in 1987 and 1991,

University)历史学硕士学位、1991年获该大学法律博士(juris
