在午间广播里偶然听到这首歌，初起还当是某个国人的英文歌，打环保主题。仔细一听才发觉这根本就是首地道的情歌，把“9百万自行车在北京”换成任何常识性描述语句都可以，比如“秋天来了叶子会变黄”。然而就是这一牵连到北京的句子，把不少中国人拉到了Katie Melua的音乐世界里来，包括我。

 

喜欢上了这把轻轻柔柔又有点伤感的清澈声音，这首融合着爵士味道的慢版抒情小调。转一点相关背景：今年年仅21岁的女歌手凯蒂．美露阿(Katie Melua)出生于格鲁吉亚。成长于莫斯科、黑海、北爱尔兰及伦敦。从小梦想可以从政或成为史学家的她，就读英国表演艺术学校时被音乐制作人Mike Batt挖掘，签入独立厂牌DRAMATICO旗下。2003年底，Katie Melua以新星的姿态涌出歌坛，首支单曲"The Closest Thing To Crazy"强登英国金榜Top 10。不久，广获好评的首张专辑《Call Of The Search》一举挤下英伦人气天后Dido、击退Norah Jones，荣获6周英国金榜后座，成为英国2004开春迄今最畅销专辑。那时的Katie Melua，只是个十九岁的少女，却俨然成为新一代的流行爵士天后。2005年九月，Katie发行了她的第二张录音室专辑《Piece By Piece》。新专辑首周进入英国流行音乐排行榜榜单中，便战胜了双周冠军大卫．格雷(David Gray)的专辑《Life In Slow Motion》顺利登顶。
