酒水知识:意大利葡萄酒产区(五)

    ⑶中部产区——包括艾米利亚-罗马涅、马尔凯、阿布鲁佐、莫利塞、托斯卡纳、翁布里亚和拉齐奥等七个行政大区。该产区有不少著名的红酒品牌,如托斯卡纳大区的奇安帝(Chianti)品牌,该品牌的黑公鸡标志已成为质量保证的象征,Chianti酿酒同业协会从1924年就开始统一使用此封印。该产区最常见的红葡萄品种是山吉优维烈(Sangiovese),此外还有蒙地普奇亚诺(Montepulciano)和兰布鲁斯科(Lambrusco)等品种。

    艾米利亚-罗马涅(EMILIA ROMAGNA)酒水知识:意大利葡萄酒产区(五)

    产区位于意大利连接北部和中部的中间地带,是意大利第六大行政区。大区南部为丘陵地带,北部为平原。气候呈现一定的次大陆性气候特征,冬季较冷,夏季炎热。全区平原占47.8%、丘陵占27.1%、山地占25.1%。该区土壤肥沃,是意大利重要的农业区。

    第一个DOCG ALBANA DI ROMAGNA罗马涅的阿尔巴纳――这一产区基本上包括了从罗马涅到波罗纳的亚平宁山脉。ALBANA酿成干酒、甜酒和葡萄干酿成的酒,就是这最后一种葡萄干酿成的酒令已经陷入危机的ALBANA得以复兴。最低酒精含量在11.5至12度之间。只有那种用葡萄干酿的酒才达到了15.5度并且要在木桶里酿造。干ALBANA酒发出钻石光芒的黄色,丹宁较轻。

[ahl-BAH-nah dee roh-MAH-nyah] When the wines from this area were upgraded from doc to docg status in 1987, the event sparked much controversy. Many wine reviewers had hoped the DOCG designation would be reserved for outstanding high-quality wines, and the Albana di Romagna wines weren't viewed as such. At their best, these wines, which are made from the albana grape, are smooth yet crisp with hints of nuttiness. Their quality, however, is quite variable, and the wines are generally not considered world class. The area for producing these wines is extremely large and is located in the emilia-romagna region in northern Italy. Albana di Romagna covers the vineyards surrounding over twenty villages between Bologna and Rimini. The DOCG designation allows many styles of wine including amabile, secco, passito and dolce. The spumante wines may still only be classified as DOC. The best versions are the sweet ones, passito and dolce.

    马尔凯产区MARCHE

    酒名叫:La Vernaccia di Serrapetrona,是马尔凯大区第一个docg。它出产于 Serrapetrona市以及邻近的Belforte del Chienti 市和 San Severino Marche市的部分地区,这里共有大约75平方公里的葡萄园种植维纳西亚(Vernaccia)葡萄。它是由至少85%的Vernaccia nera presente以及至多15%的其他品种的红色葡萄酿成的起泡酒。分为甜型和不甜型两种。它呈现从石榴红色到宝石红色,有典型的葡萄汁气味,入口干爽微甜,令人愉悦的均衡。它在采摘的第二年的6月30日以前,不能投放市场。

The Chianti Classico region covers an area of approximate 100 square miles (259 square kilometers) between the city of Florence to the north and Siena to the south. The four communes of Castellina in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti, Greve in Chianti and Radda in Chianti are located entirely within the boundaries of the Classico region with parts of Barberino Val d'Elsa, San Casciano in Val di Pesa and Tavarnelle Val di Pesa in the province of Florence as well as Castelnuovo Berardenga and Poggibonsi in the province of Siena included within the permitted boundaries of Chianti Classico. The soil and geography of this region can be quite varied, with altitudes ranging from 820 feet (250 meters) to 2000 feet (610 meters), and rolling hills producing differing macroclimates. There are two main soil types in the region: a weathered sandstone known as albarese and a bluish-gray chalky marlstone known as galestro. The soil in the north is richer and more fertile with more galestro, with the soil gradually becoming harder and stonier with more albarese in the south. In the north, the Arno river can have an influence on the climate, keeping the temperatures slightly cooler, an influence that diminishes further south in the warmer Classico territory towards Castelnuovo Berardenga.

    翁布里亚大区 (Umbria)

    翁布里亚大区位于意大利的中部,是意大利唯一不临海的内陆大区,因而呈现一定的大陆性气候特征,冬季稍冷,夏季炎热,被誉为“意大利绿色的心脏”,与拉奇奥、马尔凯、托斯卡纳大区相邻。亚平宁山脉、台伯河南北贯穿,全境主要为山区和丘陵,其中东部山区占29%,西部丘陵占71%。仅在台伯河上游有少数平地。产区下辖2个省:佩鲁贾(Perugia)、泰勒尼(Terni)。

    但小小的翁布里亚大区就两个DOCG: IL SAGRATINO DI MONTEFALCO 和 TORGIANO ROSSO RISERVA。

Sagrantino di Montefalco are Italian wines made with 100% Sagrantino grapes in the Province of Perugia, although not necessarily in the comune of Montefalco. This includes: Montefalco Sagrantino secco, a dry DOCG red wine and Montefalco Sagrantino passito a sweet DOCG red wine.

Under Italian law, the term "Montefalco Sagrantino Secco" defines a wine obtained exclusively from Sagrantino grapes, exclusively in the Province of Perugia, in the Umbria region of central Italy (although not necessarily in the comune of Montefalco). The word "secco" in the name is Italian for "dry". The wine ages for 30 months, of which at least 12 in oak barrels. This wine is a DOCG, the highest-ranking category of Italian wine denominations. The Montefalco Sagrantino secco has excellent storage abilities.    

Colour: intense ruby red, sometimes with violaceous reflections, tending towards garnet with aging.

Odour: delicate, characteristic, reminding of blackberries.

Taste: dry, harmonic.

Serve at about 17 °C. Being a strong, structured wine, the Montefalco Sagrantino secco is best suited to red meats or strongly flavored cheese.

    TORGIANO ROSSO RISERVA陶加诺红酒珍藏版——它可以最多添加10%的SANGIOVESE, MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO, CANAIOLO, CILIEGIOLO, TREBBIANO TOSCANO。其产区位于佩鲁贾省的TORGIANO镇一带。最低酒精含量为12.5度,至少要经过三年的陈酿。它呈透明的宝石红色,口味干爽,优美的酒体令人联想到"马拉斯加酸樱树"。(The Marasca cherry (Prunus cerasus var. marasca) is a type of sour Morello cherry. The Marasca cherry is limited in its availability, as the tree has strict environmental requirements for successful growth. The fruit's largest yield is in Zadar in Croatia, but it has been successfully cultivated in northern Italy, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is thought that the tree originated in Central Asia.

Compared to other cherries, the fruit of the Marasca cherry tree is small, with a bitter taste and a drier pulp. Those last two qualities make Marasca cherries ideal for creating fine cherry liqueur. By definition, true Maraschino liqueur is supposed to be made only from Marasca cherries. The Marasca cherry was also the original base cherry used to make Maraschino cherries.)

[tohr-jee-AH-noh] Demarcated zone that encircles the town of Torgiano, which is just south of Perugia in the center of Italy's umbria region. The Torgiano DOC covers rosso wines made from sangiovese, canaiolo, trebbiano Ciliegiolo, and montepulciano grapes. The area's bianco wines are made from Trebbiano, grechetto, malvasia and Verdello. The doc also allows varietal wines made with a minimum 85 percent of the variety to be made from grapes such as cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, Pinot Grigio (pinot gris), Pinot Nero (pinot noir), and Riesling Italico (welschriesling). The Torgiano Rosso Riserva which was upgraded to docg status in 1990, has a higher alcohol content and 3 years of aging. This area's production is so dominated by the Lungarotti firm's production that the DOCG is closely associated with Lungarotti's proprietary brand names-Rubesco for the red wines and Torre di Giano for the whites. The very best wines are the Rubesco Riserva from the Monticchio vineyard and the Torre di Giano Riserva from the Il Pino vineyard. The other well-known producer is Castello di Antignano.
