单曲初试锋芒:
专辑中第一支单曲Welcome to the Black Parade已经于10月9日发行打榜，在美国Billboard Hot
100榜上，表现平平，上榜四周本周位列第72名；但在英国方面情况显然大不一样，本周上榜第二周就力压英国本土的Razorlight拿到UK单曲榜的冠军，实力不容忽视。这也成为MCR历史上的第一支冠军单曲。
金牌制作人操刀:
为这张专辑担当制作人的是Rob Cavallo，看到这个名字是不是有些熟悉？Rob
Cavallo制作了1994年以来除Warning外Green Day的所有专辑，当然包括那张American
Idiot。接下来他还会为Green Day和Avril Lavigne 2007年的新专辑操刀。这也是My Chemical
Romance与Rob Cavallo的第一次合作。
概念专辑:
与前两张专辑一样，这张The Black Parade仍是一张概念专辑，主题围绕一个即将死去的病人展开。主唱Gerard
Way接受iTunes采访时说：“这张专辑讲述了一个在医院中死去的病人的故事。在即将死去的那段日子，他极力的回顾自己的一生，总结自己所犯的错误。他印象最深的是小时候爸爸带他去参加一个游行的事情。因此，死亡来临的时候以black
parade的形式。”歌迷猜测这个病人死于癌症，因为专辑中有一首歌曲叫做Cancer，而且在我们前几天发布的Welcome to
the Black Parade的MV中，主唱Gerard
Way将头发剪短并且漂成了白色，以此来比喻一个正在接受化疗的病人。
