I)

You can imagine bicycle wheels, or  

a long fishing bamboo, or raining & blowing.

What direction is the wheels heading?

Black is the limit of red.

There's no driving, no way in front of you.

Some chaotic, rambling shapes seem to be a scary man.

可以想象自行车轮子

想象一根长长渔竹,想象风雨交加

然后车轮子朝着什么方向?

黑是红的极限。

没有行驶,眼前也没有路

一些混沌嚣乱的造型

似乎是可怕的人

II)

Maybe it's just a reflection.

Pastoral scenery: the colors of water, land, vegetation, and air….

There are a lot of lines hinting at some pieces of color,

and leaving blank space that tells something.

There are two suns, two eyes: natural, emotional.

The background of the world  is

the shadows of men who are staggering.

 

也许只是一帧倒影

田园风光:水,田垅,植被,空气的颜色…

有许多线条在暗示

一些色块与留白在倾诉

有两个太阳,两个眼睛:自然的,情感的

这世界的底色

依旧是人的影子在摇晃

III)

The words and numbers, as well as the symbols that

can't be identified, seem to be upside down.

Chromatography can not be only red and black,

but there should be a transition of green and blue.

Two kinds of chromosomes: x and y

The postmark is round and relatively clear.

There seems to be more than one blurry face,

in different directions.

似乎可以倒置,那些文字与数字

以及无法辩明的符号

色谱不可以

红与黑,过渡中的青与蓝

二种染色体,Xy

戳是圆形的

也相对清晰,人面模糊

似乎还不止一张脸

美国波普艺术先驱罗伯特•芒福德(Robert Watson Munford, 1925-1991)是西班牙伊比萨艺术家团体59(Grupo Ibiza 59)创始成员。他的艺术品收藏在赫什霍恩博物馆和雕塑花园(华盛顿特区)、现代艺术博物馆(纽约)和圣达西·加莱丽·沃尔夫斯堡(德国)。

美國著名诗人和艺术评论家约翰•阿什伯里曾认为芒福德他是一位 “非常了不起的艺术家”。著名詩人、艺术评论家多罗斯基曾为芒福德石版画配诗,他认为,芒德福用稳健的手法和温文尔雅的美学表达,展現一个更大的世界,一个从筑空间中挤压出来的重要的世界。

芒德福被称为“流行艺术先驱”,但他的感情比安迪•沃霍尔复杂得多。也许更类似于罗伯特•劳森伯格。

芒福德曾说:『图形的奇妙之处就是你能用它们来做一切——优越的法则、快乐的故事等等。』芒福德还說,『某种意义上,我所有的工作都与戏剧有关。戏剧的意象使我能够将动态的人和动物与静态的景观或建筑元素并置,产生一种特殊的紧张感,在真相大白之前,你会充满好奇。对我来说,超现实主义、剧院和马戏团都在同一张床上。它们非同寻常,黑白颠倒,它们是非真实的、超真实的。”

应罗伯特•芒福德作品目录项目负责人罗尼•奥宾(Rodney Obien)邀請,子川为芒福德三幅画配诗。

子川(1953-):本名张荣彩,曾用名晓石、晓然、石也、大可等。生于江苏高邮,1969年1月插队高邮农村种地,1979年1月回城在泰州造纸厂做工,1986年自学考试中文大专毕业,1986年8月从事文学编辑工作,1991年11月任钟山杂志社文学编辑,1996年11月任雨花杂志社文学编辑,2001年11月任扬子江诗刊副主编(主持工作),2005年10月从事专业写作,2011年4月任《扬子江诗刊》特聘主编,2014年任江苏省作协诗歌工作委员会主任。专业作家、江苏作家协会理事、江苏省中华诗学研究会副会长、中国作家协会会员、中国诗歌学会理事、苏州大学文学院兼职教授。出席第七、八、九、十届中韩作家会议,参加2014中法诗歌节,中美新田园诗莫山学术研讨会(美国),2017,中韩诗人会议(韩国)2017。作品被译成英、法、德、日、韩等国文字。参加中日韩文人书画书艺展(2017)和南岸‑中外艺术家诗书画2018’春季展、夏季展。

Zi Chuan(1953-). Autonym: Zhang Rong-cai. Other pseudonyms: Xiao Shi, Xiao Ran, Shi Ye and Da Ke. Born in Gao You Country, Jiangsu Province. Farming(1969-78). Graduated from Chinese college with a self-study exam diploma(1986). Working in a paper mill in Tai Zhou City (1979-85). Literary editor of Zhong Shan and Yu Hua, the two literary journals respectively in Nanjing(1986-96).Deputy editor(2001-2004)and

Special Editor-in-Chief of Yangtze Poetry Journal (2011-14). Director of the Poetry Work Committee of Jiangsu Writers Association (2014-).

Writer, Council member of Jiangsu Writers Association, Vice President of the Chinese Poetics Research Association of Jiangsu Province, Member of Chinese Writers Association, Council member of China Poetry Society and Adjunct professor, School of Chinese Literature, Suzhou university.
