Domemaster3D Shader for 3ds Max Test

转载 2015-07-15 14:31:31

Domemaster3D Shader  is a excellent tool to make Stereoscopic panoroma.I test the result in krpano 1.19pr2. Stereoscopic effect is really awesome on my cheap google cardboard.

But I also found some puzlling settings of the dome radius which is explained by Aaron's blog.

Here is the two eye picture rendered in 3ds Max with Domemaster3D plugin.

left eye /dome radius= 70/camera seperation = 6.5
right eye /dome radius= 70/camera seperation = 6.5

the above two result is good.here is the result with different dome radius.

left eye /dome radius= 400/camera seperation = 6.5
right eye /dome radius= 400/camera seperation = 6.5
up side of the panorama

It's easy to notice the difference at the top of picture which is the celling light in the model .This cause problem when viewing panorama viewer like this.

the distance from the camera to the celling is about 160cm

Then I do a bit more test with different dome radius .The render seems good with dome radius varying between 50 ~90.

I am puzzled now ,wondering why this happens. Is it a software bug or i miss something.I'm glad if someone would help.
