Dear Family Members, 尊敬的家属，

You may have read news articles recently speculating on an official declaration of loss of flight MH370 by the Australian and Malaysian governments. 您或许已经阅读过最近的新闻报道，推测澳大利亚和马来西亚政府正式宣告 MH370 失踪的信息。

Addressing the speculation, we wish to highlight that any course of action is always guided by the advice of the technical team in charge of the search operations. 针对这一推测，我们希望强调，任何行动进程都受指导于负责搜索工作的技术团队的通知。

What we know from assurances given to us is that the ongoing search and recovery operations will remain and will not be discontinued. 我们得知的保证是，正在进行的搜索工作将会继续，并且不会停止。

We share your pain and anguish in having to deal and come to terms with this situation, as such we assure you that locating the aircraft and recovering the flight data recorders remain the key priority. Every party involved in this complex operation is as determined as you and us to find answers to our many questions. 我们对您在这种情形下所遭遇和经历的痛苦感同身受，由此我们向您确保，确定飞机位置和获取飞行数据 记录仪依然是关键优先。参与这项复杂工作的每一方都和您们、我们一样，坚定不移地寻找诸多问题的答 案。

With regard to the level of compensation available pursuant to the Montreal Convention, or similar applicable legal regime, we want to be very clear that payments are determined by law to take account of proven passenger and family circumstances and will be assessed accordingly. 关于依据蒙特利尔公约或类似可适用法律制度规定的赔偿标准，我们希望明确，金额的决定将依照法律， 考虑经过证实的乘客及家庭境况，并进行相应的评估。

We remain steadfast to ensure that fair and reasonable compensation is paid to the families of all MH370 passengers in accordance with the law. We have stated this publicly on many occasions and we reiterate to you that MAS will honour any commitments that we have made.
