个人简介
My interest in English literature and language was spurred by Lewis Carroll's Alice series whose playfulness with language gave me joy like nothing else.

Hello everybody! I am a graduate student at UW-Madison majoring in Applied English Linguistics, and I am also a 20-something who hasn't got her life together yet. I have no idea where my future lies, but I am clear about one thing that is my passion for learning the English language. I guess that's why I am starting this blog. I want to use this platform to connect people who also love English and those who needs some encouragement in learning it.

I will try to post something almost everyday like music videos, clips form a movie, tips for taking standardized exams, and general materials on English for your enjoyment. If you trust me enough, I could even give feedback to your writing samples and try to revise it with you. Please don't hesitate to leave me any comments or questions, and please take ownership of this blog since your involvement makes this initiative possible.

“How are you feeling?”“How are you doing?”“How are you?”

In the U.S., it seems that people love to know how you feel, just like in China people are direly concerned about whether you had your meal yet. Since most of us do not want to bother others with how we really feel, the textbook answer is always 'Good' or 'Great,' even when you may happen to have an awful day.
