名无固宜，约之以命。约定俗成谓之宜，异于约则谓之不宜。
语言与思维
每一个人，不管操什么语言，都可以看作是一种特殊的世界观的承担者。世界观本身的形成要通过语言这一手段才能实现……每种语言中都会有各自的世界观。
有些人说：思想是在它们用言辞表达出来之前在人的头脑中产生的，是没有语言材料、没有语言外衣、可以说是以赤裸裸的形态产生的。这种说法完全不对。不论人的头脑中会产生什么样的思想，以及这些思想在什么时候产生，它们只有在语言的材料的基础上、在语言的术语和词句的基础上才能产生和存在。完全没有语言的材料和完全没有语言的“自然物质”的赤裸裸的思想，是不存在的。“语言是思想的直接现实”（马克思）。思想的真实性是在语言之中的。只有唯心主义者才能谈到与语言的“自然物质”不相联系的思维，才能谈到没有语言的思维。
