FOX对新剧《别对我撒谎》（Lie To Me）的感觉非常非常好，好到什么程度？在最新的春季节目清单中，该剧竟被安排在所有剧集都梦寐以求的黄金档期上－－星期三晚，《美国偶像》之后，1月 21日开始。想象一下《美国偶像》那两三千万的庞大收视群体，就算只留下一半人也不得了。

'非常令人激动。' 总监制Samuel Baum最近对媒体表示，'这是一部和我们的日常生活（说谎及识破谎言）相关的剧集，收视群可以非常非常广泛。调查表明，一个普通人在与人谈话的时候，平均每十分钟要说三个谎话。说谎是司空见惯的现象，但是说谎的后果，以及通过情感辨知科学来识破谎言，将是我们取悦观众的主要手段。'

本剧根据真人真事改编。本剧的灵感来源于行为学专家Paul Ekman博士的真实研究，他能够发掘深埋在人类脸部、身体和声音里的线索，然后将犯罪调查中的真实与谎言昭示天下。Ekman博士将担任本剧的特别顾问。
