I took part in an esl course in a church yesterday. I met a
woman who is nearly 50 years old and good lookung.And
envn I cannot find any wrinkles on her face. She
participated in this course as well. When I talked with her, I
found her accent was very native.So I was curious and aked
her,'Do you need any development in english, I think you speak so
well.'
Then, she told me she has lived in US for fifteen years and
she learned english totally by herself. There are no problem for
her to communicate with other people. But she want to develop the
skill of writing and speak more like a native. And what really
surprised me is that she intend to take tofel test and apply a
program about lawyer.
In the past,i thought that only young peple who want to attend
colleges or universities would take tofel test.However, her
story changed my thoughts. She must be the oldest person to
take the tofel test. She want to be a lawyer in th
我住的院子里，有个大妈每天早上会抱着一个小baby到处玩。而这个事情正好是我送涛上学的时间，所以基本天天都会碰到。我还问涛，你说那个大妈是孩子的奶奶还是妈妈，或者是保姆啊。因为那个大妈的年龄真的看不出来。
刚开始时，我还不是很习惯和陌生人打招呼，每次看到了就低着头走了。后来有几次，这个大妈主动和我打招呼，有时甚至站得很远的时候还象我招手，显得特别热情。慢慢的，我想着出于礼貌，有时我也会跟她打打招呼，仅此而已。我还发现，这个大妈估计是个爱聊天的人，经常看到她在院子里跟不同的人聊天。
今天，我又碰到她了。她跟我说，我们能不能聊一下。我就带着好奇心停下来。她的那个英语好重好重的口音，刚开始我以为她在说西班牙语，听着听着冒出几个单词我才知道她说的是英语。慢慢的，等我听懂了后，我觉得她真的可以做一个演讲家。她从她以前是做什么工作的，现在是为什么机构服务的。那个机构呢，现在需要一种设备什么bcd（类似dvd的一种东西），而这个东西需要很多钱。这个机构是非盈利的机构，问我能不能捐款5元或10元。我笑了笑，因为她的语音很怪，我的听力也一般，一下子不知
前些天，有传闻说dean飓风来了。我突然觉得异常的兴奋，好像很期待看看飓风是什么样子的。还有朋友说，飓风来了就可以放假了，好想放假啊。没有经历过飓风的人，好像都很期待。
高速上的提示牌提醒大家要保持汽车的油箱满的状态。bushi也发表了关于这个dean飓风的讲话，没仔细看。去超市时，发现n多的人买一箱一箱的纯净水，涛说，八成是为逃路准备的。我们也在这种气氛的影响下，备了两箱水。我还准备把重要文件，值钱的东西，一些衣服和药品放到一个大旅行箱里，万一飓风真的来了，好赶紧逃啊。
