四级考试主要分为听力、词汇和语法、阅读理解、作文以及新题型五大块。词汇量是英语考试的基本，犹如人的脊梁之于身体。新概念二册上的词汇属于英语基本词汇，虽然只有一千多个，但和四级大纲所要求掌握的词汇契合度却甚高。特别是在新东方学习新概念英语，一个最基本的学习模式——激情联想法会贯穿始终。通过联想，老师在课堂上会成倍为学生扩充单词量，从而在学完新概念二册之后，单词量基本可以达到三千五百左右，以这样的单词量而言，应对四级阅读的文章应该根本不在话下了。并且激情联想强调了同形词、同义词和同组词的比较，而这一点恰恰也是四级词汇题考察的关键所在。以一道考查同义词的真题为例，选项中四个单词：uncommon,disordered,abnormal,extraordinary中的前三个单词的辨析，在课本上关于abnormal这个单词的讲述中有明确的区分；再看一道关于同组词的辨析：frightening,frightful,fright,frightened这四个单词在新概念二册的35课中针对词性进行了具体的比较，相信这一类的问题考生门以后都不会再感觉迷惑。这样的例子数不胜数，也没有必要一一列举，我们可以清楚的发现，四级中的词汇题大都可以通过对于新概念二册的学习予以解

   相信很多人对shit这个单词都不陌生.它的原意是表示便便的意思,但是在口语当中也可以表示糟糕,该死的意思.很多人都会以为这个单词出现的时候都是表达不太文雅的意思,其实也不尽然.在Dictionary of American Slang有各种解释：
