Hongbin Chen was born in Hunan Province, China in 1981. He received the BEng degree in electronic and information engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, in 2004; and the PhD degree in circuits and systems from South China University of Technology, China, in 2009 (won Distinguished PhD Thesis of South China University of Technology). He is presently an Associate Professor with the School of Information & Communication, Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China. From October 2006 to May 2008, he was a Research Assistant with the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. His research interests lie in cooperative, cognitive and green communications. He is the first author of 9 papers in renowned international journals including IEEE Transactions. He is serving as an Editor for IET Wireless Sensor Systems from October 2010 to September 2013. He serves
