I don't remember when I
exacltly began to have the idea of having a car but I do
remember one rainy night, when I drove motor bike back home from a
fishing trip at night, the wind was howling and rain drops kept
pounding my face, my eyes hardly open. How I wished I had a
car to protect myself from the wind and rain. The idea of
owning a car rose upon me all of a sudden.
Presently, Topics of cars
are hanging on my lips. One in three words escaping from my lips
has something to do with cars. Watching cars when they pass,
talking about the brands of cars, exchanging ideas of what kind of
car worth buying and what kind of car, is economic really got
me lost .
Changes
happen everywhere and all the time. Changes keep our life going and
make our life colorful. And Changes make people changed
so that they make changes to adapt themselves to the
changes. The changes of time make us old and wrinkles
climb quietly onto the corners of our eyes before we know it.. The
changes of the climate remid us of the changes of our clothes. The
changes of food tells that our life is getting better and better
and we don't need to worry about starvation that happened to our
parents, and there is almost nothing that can satisfy our
appetite, much particular with food. The changes of vehicles suggest
that the quality of our life is increasingly improving. Back to
years ago, I didn't have the slightest idea of getting a car but
now I am always talking about cars with friends and buying a car is
always on my mind.

Holy infant so tender and mild

Shepherds quake at the sight
Glory streams from heaven afar
Heavenly host sing alleluia
Christ the saviour is born

Back to 1987, at Maitland, was my first
Christmas celebrated in my life, rooted deep in my memory. From
then on, I would celebrate Christmas each year in honor of my year
at Maitland. 2009 will be my 22nd Christmas and again my heart will
fly over to the other side of the world. I will say: Merry
Christmas, Florida! Merry Christmas, Winter Park High!
2009 offers me an awful lot to

Our daughter, Linda, is in her second year at
college, working hard, and won a scholarship last month. She was
very delighted to call us telling the good news, making us very
happy for her. She will be home for the Lunar New Year's Day
next month. She is already used to the campus life at Nanchang, the
capital city of Jiangxi province in the southern part of China. She
used to be homesick and call home almost every day, complaining
about the hot and humid weather over the
Never give up!

A few days ago, a cold wind
was blowing furiously across the northern part of China,
causing the temperature to drop quickly. It seemed to say that the
nice fall was over and the cold winter could not wait to greet
us. As this time of year, I will think of my year in Florida, where
I had warm memories. So, as usual, I will write to my host and
hostess, and friends over there, sending my greetings and
exchanging news and whatever.
Florida, a sunshine state, really
left me much to miss. Now it should be the best time of a year, not
too cold and not too hot, when, I remember, I went to the beach
went to Daytona Beach with my host family, feeding sea gulls and
splashing in the water, watching firework show at Disney World
and space shuttle at Kennedy Space Center. That was fun.
So, I wrote to Ruth and Bod as
usual telling th
Mind-set is key to finding success for yourself and your
children.
Well-intentioned parents have unwittingly left their kids
defenseless against failure. The current generation of millennials
(born between 1980 and 2001) grew up playing sports where scores
and performance were downplayed because 'everyone's a winner.' And
their report cards had more positive spin than an AIG press
release. As a result, Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck,
PhD, calls them the 'overpraised generation.' Fortunately, once you
understand the situation, there's some quick corrective action that
can be taken. And even if you're well past your child-rearing
years, her advice will help you better withstand setbacks.
Dweck has been studying how people handle failure for 40 years. Her
research has led her to identify two distinct mind-sets that
dramatically influence how we react to it. Here's how they
work:
A fixed mind-set is grounded in the belief that
As Maddie McRae struggled to reach the shore after an icy
plunge, she had only one thought: 'I Have to Save My
Family--Now.'

Like most Oregonians, Stephanie McRae was used to driving in foul
weather.
Although rain still pelted the windshield of her SUV, the worst of
the day's storm seemed to have passed as she drove her 11-year-old
daughter, Maddison, home from a church youth-group at 8:30
p.m.
Maddie rode up front, while two toddlers the McRaes are fostering
sat strapped into their car seats in back. McRae, 39, turned her
blue Ford Expedition onto South Prairie Road, where the family
lives in rural Tillamook. Rounding a curve to cross over Fawcett
Creek, McRae confronted a terrifying

Jason Noorthoek Jr. didn't want to go outside. It was pitch-black,
and he was afraid there might be coyotes 'as big as pigs' roaming
his parents' Kent City, Michigan, property. But the 12-year-old
didn't have a choice. His mother, Brenda, was worried about his
father and demanded he go.
Every evening after he got home from work, Jason Noorthoek Sr.
worked on cars in the driveway. The 32-year-old mechanic had
supplemented his income by selling parts from salvaged cars for
years, but on this night, he had to fix Brenda's car, a 1998 Buick

Sometimes life throws you a curveball, hands
you a lemon, or knocks you for a loop. But knowing how to approach
failure can be the first step to success. The latest science and
strategies on how to win in the end.
When author J. K. Rowling addressed the graduating class at Harvard
last June, she didn't focus on success. Instead, she spoke about
failure. She related a story about a young woman who gave up her
dream of writing novels to study something more practical.
Nonetheless, she ended up as an unemployed single mom 'as poor as
it is possible to be in modern Britain without being homeless.' But
during this rock-bottom time, she realized she still had a
wonderful daughter, an old typewriter, and an idea that would
become the foundation for rebuilding her life. Perhaps you've heard
of Harry Potter? 'You might never fail on the scale I did,' Rowling
told that privileged audience. 'But it is impossible to live
without failing at something, unless you live so
