What is your favorite book?

I am very fond of short inspiring articles and recently I have read a book which is a collection of such stories. The book is called The Best Things in Life Are Free. It is written by an American writer, Tod Outcalt, who used to call himself a loser but by listing out the best things in life became what he called 'the happiest person' on earth. The book is composed of short letters inspired by emails from people all over the world describing the most satisfying moments in their life. The reason why I like this book the best is it reminds me of the best moments in my life. For instance, the time when I suddenly found my long-lost watch; or the second that I bumped into an old friend whom I had not seen for years. Things like these are small but memorable and would make you smile. Reading a book like this can definitely lighten my day and send me positive vibes.

想了下quit和stop的区别，记下来跟大家分享：

Quit的对象一般是一个相当长时间的状态。Stop的对象相对时间较短。

比如，quit the job, quit smoking, quit drinking。说quit往往意味着已经do the job，或have been smoking/ drinking for quite a while, say, for years, or for decades。一旦quit，就意味着与此事绝缘。比较决绝。

而Stop doing the job, stop smoking, stop drinking，往往意味着have been doing it for a little while, for instance, for an hour, or a few hours。Stop代表暂停（或者去做另外一件事），而不是绝缘。没有感情色彩。
