I'm grateful of the editors of the College English textbook for bringing Sarah into our lives. As we are learning to improve our English, we all agree that 'practice makes better if not perfect'(quoted from Sarah's own words). Many of us have written to Sarah to show our support.

Hello, everyone. Here we are at the very beginning of four years' study. You must have found that it is mainly up to you to decide what to do and how to do it. Your teachers are advisors or counselors, offering help only when you consult them. So you have to depend on yourselves in most occasions for your choices, decisions and efforts. As your class teacher, however, I'd like to be of more help. I'm not teaching you any courses in your first year, but I'll do what I can, and will always be there to care for and witness your progress.
