Wintergrasp defense-aion gold
Blizzard released a rather cryptic statement this morning
concerning the offensive and defensive mechanics of Wintergrasp.
Their entire statement is after the break, but it essentially comes
down to the fact that there are some realms where one faction
controls Wintergrasp nearly the entire time, and Blizzard has now
shed some light on mechanics in place to correct this. The faction
hording of Wintergrasp happens particularly often on unbalanced
realms. Because the faction imbalance can be so extreme in some
cases, the smaller population faction has virtually no chance at
winning back the Wintergrasp fortress and obtaining the heirlooms
and PvP items, nor any chance at accessing the VoA bosses. This can
cause frustration on the part of players in the smaller faction. In
this mechanic, which we presume is live, Wintergrasp zone mechanics
will make it easier for the offense to gain access to siege
vehicles if the opposing faction holds Wintergrasp more
In-game fixes for December-aion gold
Blizzard has released another round of in-game fixes, this time
late last night. The changes are not as epic (or controversial) as
the increase in the Battered Hilt drop rate, but they're still
important to note nonetheless. The changes to Ionar and Tharon'Ja
in particular will make killing these bosses much less awkward in
today's pugs. Back when Wrath was released DPS overall was much
lower -- you'd be happy if you saw a DPS do 1500 on a boss fight.
Because most people are so far beyond that, you spend more time
running around doing nothing than actually fighting with an
encounter like Ionar. Pretty nice changes for those of us chaining
a few heroics every day.

Totem Talk: The Shaman of 2009-aion gold
2009 has been a year of almost continuous changes for shamans. It
seems that not a patch has gone by without some changes to the
class, some major, some not so severe. The class has seen
mysterious DPS shortfalls, a minor controversy about health in PvP
that then carried over into PvE content with the high levels of AoE
damage in Ulduar with patch 3.1. Flametongue Weapon saw changes to
prevent enhancement shamans from using caster weapons. Resto got a
fairly substantial review and some significant tweaks. Elemental
also saw some talents redesigned. While all of this was going on,
shamans also saw some controversy about itemization, gear scaling
and having to share caster mail between two specs that value
different stats, as well as the constant battle with holy paladins
to keep their grubby, grasping mitts off of our mail. Yeah, we know
you don't want that MP5 plate, but since you're the only ones who
can possibly get anything out of it, g
Know Your Lore: Winter Veil-aion power leveling
This week on KYL we get away from old god blood and crazy warlocks
and instead look at Winter Veil. It's just as snow covered as
Icecrown, but far less sinister. Sometimes that's a good thing. It
can't all be death and destruction, you know. Sometimes it's
running around doing fun stuff.
Now, I know you crazy lore addicts. Well, I mean, I know what
you're like. I don't know you all personally. That would be
difficult. Not impossible, I guess. We could have a get together!
We could get together and sing songs and have festivities, except
of course that I'm a shaggy, unpleasant person and... the more I
think about this, the more I realize I'm the Greench of this
particular Feast of Winter Veil. There are two really interesting
aspects to the Feast of Winter Veil in terms of lore: one is that
both the dwarves and the tauren, two races with different but
strong connections to the earth and elements celebrate it. The
other is that
Obstacle to Winter Veil 2009-aion power leveling
As fascinating as the possibility here of Hodir being incorporated
into the traditions of the races of Azeroth is, and as interesting
as the development of the myth, modern observances of Winter Veil
have really very little to do with these ancient ideas. As Furmund
in Orgrimmar and Goli Krumn in IF will tell you, Goblin
entrepreneurs have siezed upon this basic story and exploded it in
all directions like a gigantic, flaming comet made out of equal
parts Burl Ives and Haddon Sundblom crashing into Azeroth, causing
a cataclysm of holiday festivities. To the average modern
Azerothian, Winter Veil is now about presents granted by a jolly
man in a red outfit (which, if you consider the original feast
ideal of Greatfather Winter bringing prosperity to those who
accepted his visits, is an understandable development of the myth
cycle). While the naysayers like Furmund and Goli can play the
curmudgeon and protest the children losing touch
Dear Drama Mamas:aion power leveling
Dear Drama Mamas: Last night, I was running H CoS on my mage,
gearing her for frost PvE (I know it's not optimal, but it is
viable -- and my favorite). The group I was in consisted of a
hunter, death knight, shaman (healer) and paladin (tank). The pally
tank was fully geared in at least ToGC gear (if not ICC), but the
other DPS were obviously just graduating to Heroics. The tank was
upset that my DPS was only slightly above his and that the hunter
and DK were well below him. He proceeded to insult and belittle the
DPS for being below him and started swearing, because he thought we
would not be able to get the extra boss (and therefore the extra
badge). I told him to stop being so rude, that the DPS were here to
gear up and he should lay off; he just told me I was a scrub
...
I can understand his frustration. He feels like he is missing out
on a chance to get an extra badge. However, I don't think it is
necessary to verbally abuse other p
The spirit of Winter Veil 2009- aion gold
It's the most wonderful time of the year again! The time of year
where we try to plot how to escape from various horrid family
gatherings and sneak out to get drunk and/or play video games. But
feel sympathy for we humble public servants who have to work all
week. This picture, taken in Dalaran by Gerda of Lightbringer, is
about as close as I'll get to a Christmas tree this year, unless
one falls on a person.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft
images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder?
We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is
as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your
shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured
here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you
want it mentioned. Please include the word 'Azeroth' in your post
so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongl
Looking Ahead November's Guild 2009-aion gold
Transitions
These activities soon drew Blizzard's attention and in 2006 the
Sleeper Cartel was invited to join the Guild Relations Program.
Karin stepped down from leadership in June of 2007 and appointed
Darias the guild leader. Since then we've transitioned from spies
to Godfather-esque mobsters and the guild has flourished. Currently
we have around 120 members within the guild from most every walk of
life. We have chefs, engineers, students, veterans, retired
grandparents, programmers, and many more. We have people that are
hardcore raiders or PvPers and people who use WoW as a chat client.
Some log in once a week and others play many hours per day. If
you're in here, you're family.
Our two biggest services are our in game parties and our RL
charities. In game we hold at least one party a year (which we make
sure to tell everyone about, including WoW.com :D ). These parties
are the end result of many guildies' farming a
Light's Vengeance-aion gold
We've featured a video showing off this stretch of the Shadowmourne
questline before, the bit where you retrieve Light's Vengeance, but
I would hardly call The Sacred and the Corrupt old news. It's still
a quest just about every class that can wield two-handed is
thinking about. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to witness
this amazingly epic quest themselves.
