英国：高考前学校放假两周
在英国，高中二年级的考生需参加A-LEVEL考试，即普通教育证书高级考试。考试课程有英语语言、文学、数学、经济等课程。学生选修的课目也要考试。普通教育证书高级考试相当于中国的高考。只有在A-LEVEL考试中取得优异成绩的，才能被一流大学录取。
A-LEVEL考试前两周，学校放假，让学生回家自己复习，学校教师不搞什么猜题或复习提要等活动。考试评分标准分八挡，零分用U表示。

When he told me he was leaving I felt like a vase which has just smashed. There were pieces of me all over the tidy, tan tiles. The innovative flip flops, dubbed 'FitFlops', are designed to help tone and trim your legs by engaging muscles for a longer period of time with each step.
Designers say that the specially-engineered sandals absorb shock and reduce the danger of sufferings joint strain.
The King's Road Sporting Club (KRSC) in London, which was one of the first stores to stock FitFlops, sold more than 700 pairs in the first three days.
'In 13 years of running this shop I've never seen anything like this,' said owner Michael Conitzer. 'It is the fastest-selling product we've ever had.
The idea for the FitFlops came from Marcia Kilgore, founder of health spa company Bliss Spas. She wanted a summer alternative to MBT(Masai Barefoot Technology), shoes.
