To whom it may concern:
My wife and myself were looking for a
translator/guide for our trip to Beijing. We travel to Europe or
any place exotic we would like to know every 2 or 3 years; we have
never needed a guide before but this time we knew Mandarin was a
very difficult language to understand so we decided to search for a
translator. After contemplating different options we decided to
contract Mr Liu, the Main reason we liked him was for the fact that
he was the only one that:

To Whom It May Concern:
Mr Liu has worked for us for nearly a year as a Chinese teacher,
giving private lessons to me and group lessons to our English
teachers.
He has been a popular and effective teacher, with a pleasant
manner and good communication skills. He also has an excellent
grasp of English – both written and spoken.

Recommendation for Employment
Mr. Liu and I worked together at Templeton International Asia,
Ltd. in Beijing, China. Liu was most instrumental in three specific
areas in the development of our representative office:
a) Translation and
Interpretation
b) Language Studies and
Tutorials
c) The gathering of salient data
and research as it related to
Google search term “Chinese interpreter Beijing”
Richard’s site came up first and I was able to contact him
easily through his email address. I can highly recommend
Richard as a resource for foreign companies who need temporary or
even long term help in communicating with Mainland Chinese for
whatever business purpose they may need.
I found Richard’s rates to be very attractive for the services
we required, which was to help us in a booth to show an American
product for the Chinese market. His advice was invaluable, as
well as his ability to almost immediately act as a salesman for our
company under a very short familiarization period.
I now count Richard as a valuable friend and look forward to my
next trip to Beijing when we can meet again.

My name is Travis Anna Harvey. I arrived in Beijing as an
English teacher, knowing no Mandarin. Mr. Liu was hired by my
company as a Chinese teacher for non-Chinese speaking staff. Due to
Mr. Liu’s fine instruction, I can now, carry on daily conversations
in Chinese.
I highly recommend Mr. Liu’s teaching capability without
reservation. Mr. Liu has always demonstrated dependability,
respectfulness, and flexibility, all qualities I think are
essential to the role of teacher. He approaches language learning
with the wisdom and humor acquired through his own experience of
learning a second language, in which he functions fluently.
In my experience as an English teacher in China, I have seen the
results of stultifying and proscriptive teaching techniques that
are common in middle schools, high schools, and universities
throughout China. These techniques usually result in students who
can spell very well, have memorized huge lists of vocabulary, but
cannot speak the new la
To Whom It May Concern
I am writing to strongly recommend Mr. Richard Liu for any
travel, business and/or translation needs that one would require in
China.
Richard provided the following assistance during our recent
trip:
Obtained discounted airplane tickets for travel within
China. The savings were substantial.
Provided two days of guided assistance that was very
helpful. This assistance included:
the rental of a car/driver to tour the Great Wall and the Safari
Park at Badaling
shopping at selected locations for silk, carpets, jewelry and
negotiations, where appropriate for 'lower prices’shopping for a
hand made suit with a one day turnaround selection of
restaurants.
Richard also arranged for a meeting with hospital administration
in order that we could better understand the health care system in
China and thereby assess potential business opportunities.
Based upon these discussions, we are now pursui
I come from New York City, US and I studied Chinese with Richard
Liu for one month, 5 days a week, four hours a day. Richard was an
excellent teacher. Both his English skills and experience in
teaching Chinese were clear.
He often knew words that many native English speakers do not know
and could therefore compare subtle and interesting things about the
differences in the two languages. I even learned some English from
him and it was not uncommon for me to be incorrect when we had
differences of opinion regarding certain English vocabulary.
When teaching Chinese he taught words in two types of groups. This
was logical and made learning more interesting. For example, I
would learn all the words to use in a given situation. Also
interesting and helpful, I would learn different words that follow
a certain pattern so that I could learn the logic in the Chinese
language and many words at once.
I came to China not speaking any Mandarin and after one month could

My name is Alberto Castillo, I found the data of Mr. Richard Liu
at the web and contracted him as interpreter during a Trade Mission
organized by the Mexican Government.
I can recommend his high quality service. Mr. Liu is not only an
excellent English-Chinese interpreter but also a very skilled trade
advisor, he could handle the technical English and Chinese words of
my business, acrylic resins for industrial floors in a very short
time.
I felt very comfortable dealing with the Chinese contacts
through Mr. Liu.
I will not hesitate to call him next time I visit Beijing for
business or pleasure.

Richard's assistance made my meetings in Beijing more productive
in that I was able to learn far more information than I would have
otherwise been able to learn because all of the attendees to my
meetings were able to freely communicate and proactively raise
issues in a manner that did not occur in the past because of
language issues and miscommunications.
