I am what I am.

Tom

[Creative justice](2007-08-05 10:29)

            Creative justice

Throwing criminals in jail is an ancient and widespread method of punishment;but is it wise one?It does seem reasonable to keep wrongdoers in a place where they find fewer opportunities to hurt innocent people, and where they might discover that crime doesn’t pay.The system has long been considered fair and sound by those who want to see the guilty punished and society protected.Yet the value of this form of justice is now being questioned by the very men who have to apply it:the judges. The reason, they say,is that prison doesn’t do anyone any good.

What will our life be if these electronic products such as television, personal computer, mobile phone etc. are all disappear over night? It sounds amazing. What we can do if all of these cleared away?
We have already been used to these 'Electronic Life' and we can hardly imagine the living without these 'convenience'.Nowadays, the Personal Computer plays a very important role in our daily life.Just like the blog,we shall write down our minds 'with your own finger'.Do you still remember the diary with fine cover we have ever used when we were young? At that time,we wrote down whatever we supposed after school. Of couse, computer leads us the convenience indeed. But the disadvantage is also obvious:we can't help ourselves leaving it even just a minute. So,some youth become short sight. What is worse, some of them have the addiction of the net-games on the computer and their parents have to rely on the psychologists to help their children  out of  these games

So warm once the thaw begins

Iceland has never been an easy country to inhabit.Indeed, about 70 percent of it is literally uninhabitable---- the great central plateau of ice—caps and black volcanic deserts. This helps to explain why,in a country that is larger than Ireland, there are only some 230,000 inhabitants, almost half of whom live in the conurbation of Reykjavik, the capital,in the southwest.

So who are these 230,000 Icelanders?Well, they certainly are not Eskimos living in igloos,Their standard of living is extremely high. They are of Nordic stock, part of Scandinav
