语言是由词串 MWI（multi-word items）构成的。所有的词串都可以分为三大类：chunks、set-phrases和word partnerships，并且可以依据其可预测程度区分。
如图所示，可预测度较高的是固定词串，可预测度低的是流动词串。
学英文时，如果学好chunks，语法自然会进步，因为大部分的语法错误都源自于写错chunks；专攻set-phrases，英语功能自然会加强，因为set-phrases都是功能性词串；如果在word
partnerships上下功夫，词汇也会增加。

Chapter 1 The perils of plagiarism 剽窃之害
1. correctly use quotation marks 正确使用引用
If you quote more than four lines, you should not use quotation marks. Instead, block indent your quotation, that is, set it apart from the rest of your text and begin every line five spaces from your left margin.
如果引用超过四行，就不能使用引号。而应另起一段，每行缩进5个字母。
2.paraphrase correctly 正确复述
Even when you borrow the original writer’s sentence structure, you have plagiarized.

Today I want to recommend a great book to
anybody who are eager to improve their English writing abilities.
This book is Perfect Writing, published
by Peking University Press, and written by three American
professors. Of course this book is written in English.
First of all, this book is easy to read. I mean there are few new words in this book and when I read it, I feel I can understand the author’s idea clearly. Any English book which has a lot of new words just frustrates me and stop me from continuing reading. I don’t know what’s the vocabulary level of this book, but as to those who are pr
