Here are some tips for installing the habit of lifelong
learning:
1) Always have a book.
It doesn’t matter if it takes you a year or a week to read a
book. Always strive to have a book that you are reading through,
and take it with you so you can read it when you have time. Just by
shaving off a few minutes in-between activities in my day I can
read about a book per week. That’s at least fifty each year.
2) Keep a “To-Learn” List
We all have to-do lists. These are the tasks we need to
accomplish. Try to also have a “to-learn” list. On it you can write
ideas for new areas of study. Maybe you would like to take up a new
language, learn a skill or read the collective works of
Shakespeare. Whatever motivates you, write it down.
3) Get More Intellectual Friends
Start spending more time with people who think. Not just people
who are smart.
Erma Bombeck

7 Pieces of Timeless Business
Wisdom
1 — Push through your limitations
“The successful person makes a habit of doing what the failing
person doesn’t like to do.”
— Thomas Edison
Business is scary. It can be new, difficult, frustrating, and
many other things — but if you push through those limitations and
do the things that are hard you might see the best of what business
can be: rewarding, lucrative, challenging, and fun.
Pushing yourself can be hard, but it’s worth it in the end.
2 — Never stop improving
“An organization’s ability to learn, and translate that
learning into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive
advantage.”
— Jack Welch
The world changes, and things are always moving forward. In
order to keep up, it’s c

Here are some tips to help you achieve your goals and to make
2009 your best year ever.
1. Spend some quality time on your own and reflect on
your goals in all areas of your life – short, medium and long
term. Write these down – you increase your chances of
materialising them, once written down. Be very specific, and as
descriptive as you can.
2. Write down your three main goals in big bold letters
and hang up next to your bedside, in the kitchen, by your pc,
etc. Having them visible like this keeps in the forefront
of your mind exactly what you need to achieve by when, and what you
must do to make it happen.
3. Identify quickly the key steps in the first three
months of 2009 to move you towards your goals. Make the
steps realistic for the time frame, but ones that stretch you at
the same time. Track your progress on a regular basis,
